   Great American Meatout--23rd anniversary!

   The Great American Meatout is held on the first day of spring each year.  Sponsored by FARM, this is the

   largest event of its kind in the U.S. and is the world's largest and oldest annual grassroots diet education

   program.

   Meatout's mission is to help people choose a wholesome, nonviolent diet of fruits, vegetables and whole  

   grains. The purpose is to expose the public to the joys and benefits of a plant-based diet, while promoting

   the availability and selection of meat and dairy alternatives in grocery stores and restaurants.
